HISTORY

ISA is a Virginia-based, SBA 8(a) certified small business and is a proud V3-certified, Veteran-Owned Small Business, with one in three ISA employees having served in the U.S. military. Additionally, ISA holds a General Services Administration (GSA) Professional Services Schedule (PSS) contract to easily and efficiently provide services to a wide variety of federal, state, and local government agencies, policy development, and programming and budget.

ISA is an innovative provider of training and consulting services in Intelligence and National Security and specializes in delivering strategic consulting services to federal clients as well as private sector companies and academic institutions. For over two decades, ISA has been a leading provider of comprehensive education and training in intelligence, analysis, budget, and policy across a range of national security issues. Throughout that period, ISA has had a tradition of hiring extraordinary people to assist its clients in meeting and exceeding their requirements.

MEET OUR CEO

Jorge M. Shimabukuro is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Intelligence & Security Academy (ISA), a Virginia-based, Veteran-Owned Small Business.  He is responsible for developing and implementing ISA’s strategic planning and business development, and leads a multi-disciplinary team across ISA’s Advisory, Education  & Training, and Systems Architecture & Engineering portfolios.

Jorge has more than 25 years of experience in the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC), and the Interagency. He has led major programs across the federal government and has served in Senior Executive Service positions at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB), and on Joint Duty Assignment to the United States Air Force.

In addition to his civil service, Jorge served in the United States Marine Corps and is a member of the United States Navy Reserve where he currently serves as an intelligence officer.

Jorge’s broad experience from the civil service and his military career offer ISA clients a unique perspective across the defense and national security sectors.  Jorge has a proven track record in transformation and modernization.

Jorge is a member of the Japanese-American Veterans Association.
