Course Overview: This one-day course provides learners with an overview of the structure, roles, and mission of the United States Intelligence Community. Beginning by defining and describing the Intelligence Community, its legal foundation, and resources, the course then explains the role the Community plays in the development and implementation of U.S. national security policy. The course concludes with a discussion of the Intelligence Community’s three principal missions: clandestine intelligence collection, intelligence analysis, and covert action.
